A few years ago, IT security measures were mostly limited to the regular update of software for protection from computer viruses. Damaging software, which was not recognized by the program, entered undetected. Today, however, the hazardous bugs are much more versatile: Viruses and Trojan horses are no longer the “only” pests around, we rather now deal with worms, adware, spyware, dialer, spam, as well as with programs for targeted identity theft (phishing). Therefore, effective pest protection should include the following three components: diversified classic threat protection, proactive threat prevention and preventive threat assessment.
This includes, for example, a continuous inventory of the IT environment (asset information), a risk assessment of the individual components and a vulnerability assessment. Moreover, an optimally-protected environment also includes policy and patch management, the use of client firewalls as well as the use of IDS (Intrusion Detection System) and IDP (Intrusion Detection and Prevention) products, the filtering of spam e-mails, the integration of network security mechanisms and the secure integration of remote users.
We support you in setting up a comprehensive IT security system, which is tailored to your needs.
