
As the founder of msg systems, Hans Zehetmaier has managed the company’s successful development for more than three decades. Zehetmaier, a Business Administration and Information Systems graduate, worked for IBM before founding msg systems ag, which now heads the company group msg systems. As the CEO, Hans Zehetmaier is responsible for the central “Sales” and “Finances & Controlling” business units, as well as for the “Life Science & Healthcare" department. In addition, he is in charge of development of subsidiaries and shareholdings for the Group, strategy for the entire insurance branch, as well as the SAP partner strategy. Hans Zehetmaier’s outstanding achievements as an entrepreneur were recognized in October 2008 with the prestigious “Entrepreneur of the Year – finalist 2008” award. He has been a member of the Economic Senate, an independent and non-partisan organization committed to eco-humane market systems, since 2010. In the Economic Senate, Hans Zehetmaier heads the ITC department.

Dr. Stephan Frohnhoff joined msg systems ag’s board of directors at the beginning of 2011. He is mainly responsible for the continued expansion of business units “Public Sector” and “Telecommunications & Media” and, in addition, for the central marketing & commuincations division. With a doctorate in computer science and a graduate degree in physics, he has extensive experience in the IT industry. In particular, he has proven expertise in software engineering and in-depth knowledge of the public sector industry. Throughout his professional career he has already been involved in establishing industry-oriented business units; in his most recent position prior to joining msg systems ag he was a member of the management at a globally-active IT and consulting company.

Frank Plechinger was appointed to the board of directors in October 2009. He is responsible for the “Products & Development” and “Utilities” business units, as well as for the business strategy in the insurance sector department and the quality management division. Plechinger studied computer sciences and worked as consultant both in the insurance industry and in the public service sector before joining msg systems. He joined msg systems in 1998 and has held a number of leadership positions during his 10 years in the company. Frank Plechinger is a member of the management boards of msg systems Romania and Hagenberg Software GmbH.

Volker Reichenbach joined msg systems’ board of directors in 1994. He is responsible for Human Resources as well as for the insurance-specific “Service Consulting” and “Business Consulting” business units and the “Insurance Internal Services” administrative department. Before assuming his current position at msg systems, Volker Reichenbach, a graduate in computer sciences, acquired extensive experience in the software industry – in applications as well as consulting. As project manager of major projects he continuously expanded his knowledge of methods and approach models based on different application projects in the fields of insurance and social securities.

Roland Roudny has been a member of msg systems ag’s board of directors since the beginning of 2012. Since joining msg systems in 2003, he has held executive positions at the international subsidiaries in Austria, Switzerland and the USA. In his role as a member of the Board of Directors, he drives business development in all three of those countries. He is also responsible for the insurance-focused Integration Consulting division and the industry-independent Test & Quality Management division. After earning a Masters in Computer Science, he spent many years working for different companies in the banking and insurance industries, holding positions as Head of Sales and CEO. He has in-depth knowledge of the financial, sales and managerial areas in those industries. The extensive experience he has gained through the different executive positions he has held in Germany and in international markets is a great asset to the company.

Dr. Dirk Taubner joined the board of directors of msg systems ag in 2007. He is responsible for the “Automotive” and “Travel & Logistics” business units, for the Competence Center “msg Applied Technology Research” as well as the Offshore Center msg systems Romania. In addition, he is chairman of the supervisory board of msg services ag which focusses on infrastructure consulting and services. With his doctorate in Computer Science, he has played an active role in the IT industry for over 20 years. Dr. Taubner possesses a comprehensive breadth of experience in software engineering as well as years of experience in managing large projects. Additionally, he is a co-editor of a publication called "Informatik Spektrum".
