The right information at the right time as the reliable basis for operative and strategic decisions – that’s what our BI solutions provide. We have proved our expertise in many industry-specific projects which we have carried out for a number of well-known companies:

AUDI AG introduced a performance measurement system to bundle information streams in its manufacturing division and so lower general costs. During the conception phase of a joint project with SAP we developed a system prototype based on SAP NetWeaver BI before implementing the performance measurement application at AUDI in just ten months. Furthermore we realized a management cockpit, making easy, quick accessing of all figures required possible as well as providing a simple overview. Some 400 users of the system, which includes SAP Business Warehouse, can thus benefit from significant time savings when gathering information. We contributed approx. 2,500 person days to this project.

The financial service provider commissioned us to provide a stable, comprehensive, user-friendly system landscape which would facilitate transparent planning, budgeting and forecasting in the fields of controlling, risk management and sales controlling. To this end we first defined and evaluated meaningful architecture scenarios, then redesigned and optimized the data supply processes. In addition to this we set up application-specific data marts.
The new IT platform, which uses products from Informatica and Oracle (Essbase Executive Viewer, Crystal Reports) among others, allows BMW to optimize its “Quality of Services” – performance and system availability have improved while, at the same time, costs have decreased. In addition to this data is more transparent and comprehensive evaluation options as well as integrated ETL processes based on a central operational data store are available. A particular success of the redesign was the reduction of the number of interfaces to the new data warehouse by half. For this project we provided a full service package from conception through realization to servicing and operation, including a total outlay of some 5,000 person days.

Within the scope of introduction of the SAP FS-RI reinsurance system (GLORIA), Münchener Rück commissioned us to carry out the entire rebuilding of operative, legal and strategic reporting, ranging as far as fast close and forecasting & estimation. In addition to this implementation of new analysis procedures for the controlling of all core business processes was planned.
To this end we replaced the reporting systems developed in-house and Cognos based on an Oracle data warehouse with a global SAP business warehouse. During the course of the conversion to the new platform the subsidiary companies were also integrated and a consolidated data basis covering the entire group of companies was created (covering a total of 4 terabytes). The add-on plus numerous additional features made it possible to modify reporting to correspond to current and future requirements. It is now possible to carry out special individual reporting and combined reporting from various corporate divisions in addition to standard evaluation.
Within this full-service project we were responsible for all steps from consulting, requirement analysis, conception and strategy through tool selection and introduction methodology to implementation and support for ongoing operations. The total project volume was significantly more than 10,000 person days, making it one of our largest BI projects to date.
